- In the Christian-Judeo bible there is a section of the text called Kings, where the God of the Jewish people gave the people rules to live by, and they asked for Kings, instead. God told them Kings were simply humans with great power, and they would be happier to rule themselves using rules. The people insisted and the God of the Christian bible relented but said Be careful what you ask for as you may regret it.
