Afternoon everyone.....
A couple of days ago I did a post on setting 20 goals for 2020. I put it out there for anyone that wanted to join in.
In that post I stated that I don’t believe in resolutions. To me that means that you have failed at something, and it needs correction.
I am a goal oriented person. Goals whether short term or long term are much easier to track, check progress, and keep me motivated.
Most people that do resolutions expect immediate results, which quickly causes failure. Just go to any local gym right now and see how many people are in there because of resolutions they set. Then go back at the same time a month from now and see that 70-80% if not more are no longer there.
Using this as an example: you didn’t gain the weight in a week or a month, so how can you expect it to be gone in that amount of time.
While I understand this is only one example, it can be applied to many other areas. Debt, employment status, marriage, investing, stacking, health, or many others.
Persistence, attitude and mindset are the keys to success in anything. No one has resolutions in business or life in general, why have them every New Year?
In order to not drag this post out far longer then I initially anticipated. I will do my 20 goals of 2020 in my post tomorrow.
I would however appreciate your opinion or comments pertaining to this subject.
And feel free to join in on the #twentygoals tag, I’d like to see what everyone sets as goals.
They do not have to be monster goals, each one while being something that requires determination and persistence should also be able to be achieved within this calendar year.
