Afternoon everyone ….
On Thursday I had an estimate for another job. On my way there the sun was setting and the sky was awesome.
I know the area pretty well and decided to take a detour to get a photo from the marina.
Look at this scenic view. The town is named Sparta, there are two very large lakes there. This one is called Lake Mohawk. I don’t know the actual size but from the size of the boats they allow on it, it has to be quite large.
The area that I stopped at is just left of the marina. There is a huge dock/deck that goes out over the water there. There are also small shops and nice places to eat.
In the summer time this place will be packed solid with people. Parking is usually the biggest problem as there’s only one small parking lot. It can’t hold more than 40-50 vehicles.
So here is the view that I stopped for.
