There are four silver rounds in this tube (blue top) of Engelhard American Prospector Silver Rounds, and today I am adding a couple more to the tube.
1984 and 1984 Engelhard American Prospector
Silver Round, 1 ozt, .999 fine silverEngelhard's The American Prospector Silver rounds were the first bullion rounds that were marketed by Engelhard to the public, adding a sense of historical value and collectibility to these silver rounds.
The 1984 Silver round was the third year of issue from the famous Prospector series and first to feature the eagle design. These rounds are no longer being minted.
Obverse: Image of a prospector panning for Gold, the words "U.S.A.", the year 1984 and "The American Prospector."
Reverse: Displays an American Eagle along with the weight and purity of the round.
The silver rounds need to be transfered from the flips to airtite capsules, then into the tube.
.... and the tube goes back into the cigar Silver Box for safekeeping.
