Kevin Helms reports in bitcoin.com that India is about to ban cryptocurrency citing a report from Reuters quoting a senior Indian official that a bill will be passed that “would criminalise possession, issuance, mining, trading and transferring crypto-assets. The bill would give holders of cryptocurrencies up to six months to liquidate, after which penalties will be levied."
But the crypto community believes that India will not ban Crypto, saying that the information provided by Reuters is outdated.
It will be utterly foolish to ban crypto in India or in any country. What is your take on this?
