This is the second token from Imperial Palace (now called The Linq) and the penultimate token in my collection.
As I've said before this was our spot for cheap rooms in the 1990s. I spent a lot of time in this casino and unlike most of the mega resorts I knew how to get from one part of the casino to any other.
I also remember that they were still using coins at that time. The machines had not yet gone to tickets.
These tokens have a tasty 0.60ozt silver center surrounded by a ring of brass. When I take them out of the airtite to photograph them I can hear the center piece rattle around inside that brass.
All the tokens I will be showing are a $10 value at the casino cage but they sell for well over $20 on the open market. I wonder if folks actually cashed these in for a crisp 10 dollar bill at the casino?
