Do you ever feel like a dream result is just around the corner?
For example, a lot of people (including me) are looking to a period where crypto is able to provide value for living, yet at times that seems like it will never happen, and at other times, it is just around the corner.
Very seldom, but a few times in my life I have felt that good things were going to happen for me, although it hasn't always eventuated. And, I have pondered whether my unconscious is aware of opportunity and potential, that my awareness doesn't see. So, when it has worked out, it was because I took the opportunity available, and when it hasn't, it is because I missed what was on offer.
Of course, we are always surrounded by opportunities that could change our lives in astronomical ways, but that doesn't mean that we would take the opportunity. There is always a longshot horse that comes home, and we can never know how many times we might have walked past a winning lottery ticket, dropped from a pocket.
But probably, we aren't going to "win" that way, are we? It takes consistent work to win on average, where the right things are done, even if they are not the perfect things. For example, it isn't likely that a person bought a thousand dollars worth of Bitcoin for 1 dollar each, and then held it all the way to the current 67,000, to turn it into 67 million. But, it is possible that someone bought a bit, sold a bit, bought a bit and held a bit over time, consistently increasing their stack to hold significant amounts of Bitcoin now, right?
Wish I had.
The opportunity was there, and over the last few years I have had the knowledge, but how much did I actually dollar cost average in? Not enough to be sure. Because had I made better decisions, I wouldn't have to wait until "around the corner" for life changing, it would have changed long ago. But I didn't sell peaks, hold, and then buy back at the troughs enough to take full advantage. I don't know many who have, and I don't know anyone who has taken "full advantage" at any point in their lives.
As said, there are opportunities everywhere, and sometimes I think what the result might be if we were able to live a day, week, or a year where we made the perfect decisions. I am guessing if we were going to look from a financial perspective, it would be something like in Back to the Future 2, where Biff got hold of the sports almanac from the future, and was able to bet on the winner every time. Ten 10:1 bets starting with $10 dollars and rolling it into the next sure thing, will amount to 10 billion dollars. Not sure which bookie could absorb those losses though.
Guessing the broken leg roles would be reversed.
The markets are interesting at the moment though, as while people don't seem to be very excited, Bitcoin hasn't been much (relative to the possible volatility) below the high a few months ago. If you look at the daily chart, it is just another day at the office.

And the following months.
We might be moving sideways for a while more, but where is it going to go from there? Will there be a corner turned that pushes into a peak, and if so, how high is that peak expected to be? 100, 150, 200?
I have no idea, but it does feel like something is happening and while my financial dreams are unlikely to be answered by Bitcoin, I also think that at least some of the alts are going to get runoff from it, and at the levels Bitcoin might reach, that runoff is a veritable flood pouring in. And while the tops are highly unlikely to last long, there will be opportunity abound, for those who have consistently been doing the work, not just waiting to find a dropped lottery ticket.
