It is time to take LeoThreads to another level. This is something that many of us expressed and we are moving towards the time when things will kick into overdrive.
During the most recent AMA, it was announced the goal for the new user interface going into production is May 1st. This is less than a month away. For this reason, it is best if everyone starts to stir the excitement.
Much of what we are going to detail in this article is a refresher on what LeoThreads needs to be used for. We can start to accelerate things by focusing upon how we are using microblogging on Hive.
Threadcasts
This is something that I believe can separate LeoThreads from much of what is out there.
People love to get together and chat about stuff. This is especially true for live streaming and webcasts. YouTube has a great design with it built in. With LeoThreads, we can provide a solution with real time chat without turning to Web 2.0.
The above image is a Threadcast that and I did. It was for a New York Mets game. The event was a dud yet we still were able to put up 100 threads in that Threadcast.
Here is the threadcast for the weekly AMA by Leofinance. Khal put it up and we see another engagement of more than 100 threads. Of course, a lot were questions being asked during the AMA.
The engagement was there and the numbers add up quick. Keep in mind this was about an hour show.
Potential
The potential for Threadcasts are huge. It is likely that 4 or 5 people could put up 500 or more threads during an event. By being in the container, they are not filling the main feed. However, the engagement is what the people involved in that Threadcast are interested in.
Imagine if we had one of these for each of the Hive based livecasts that take place each week.
Memes
Here is something that was put together yesterday.
When you think about it, this is a rather simply concept. Why not place memes on LeoThreads?
There is a lot of creativity on Hive. We have people are have sharp wit and a fantastic sense of humor. Putting it in a meme can help to express a point while offering something to the community.
Engagement is key and memes tend to drive this. They are items that can be shared on other social media platforms. The fact that they are first posted on LeoThreads means we have a use case that could be powerful.
LeoThreads is not about long form content. It is a place for people to express quick ideas. What better way to do that than by posting a meme?
Potential
Memes could end up numbering the thousands per day. How many of them are floated daily on Twitter? Heck, they even go viral with people copying and posting them elsewhere.
Why cant this be replicated on LeoThreads? There is no reason why people who are interested in this type of activity cannot put one or two per day up.
Get Creative
The key with LeoThreads is for people to get creative. Personally, I developed a couple different "activities" that allow for repeated use of LeoThreads. In addition to Threadcast, I am using the contrainer idea as a repository for Threadstorms I create.
One of my next ideas is going to be taking this concept and using it for direct engagement. Here is a way to "converse" with someone about stuff that isn't private, and to engage easily. In other words, it uses LeoThreads as a messenger system.
What ideas do you have? Do you have other ways to use LeoThreads in addition to just putting links up to your posts?
Let us know what your thoughts are.
