You are a successful business leader. Which three character traits do you think were most instrumental to your success? Can you please share a story or example for each?
First, curiosity. I’ve never accepted surface-level answers. And I’m interested in subjects that fall between disciplines, where the opportunity for innovation usually lies. That habit has given me a very broad view of neuroscience and insights others missed. Second, persistence. Most meaningful work takes far longer than expected. I’ve learned to stay in the game even when progress feels invisible. Third, humility. Every major breakthrough in my career came from realizing I was wrong about something.
