We have now marched into the second half of 2023. This is an ideal time to review my goals on the Hive blockchain. Today is all about $LEO and layer 2 for this article.

This post reviews and updates my LEO goals.
It will also show how I envisage my account growing from 6k total Leo Power today to 15k LP (LION status) by the end of 2023.

So compared then to now, I have well over doubled my Leo Power but look at the power of $LEO, my account is now valued at FOUR times what it was in December!
That of course is in part thanks to the price of $LEO being pretty much double what it was!
In fact such has been the success of $LEO in relation to $HIVE that the #lpud requirements have been lowered for this month. Check out more about the latest lpud revamp from
It will be a stretch but it will be so worth it!
Starting Point and Assumptions.
So as shown above the starting point is 6.05k Leo Power plus 160 liquid LEO
There are five sources of LEO that I have used, HP delegation, Author Rewards, Curation Rewards, Contests and Market.
Strategy to hit LION status 🦁🦁🦁
I am not going to focus on #lpud Leo Power Up Day.. Yes, I will be entering every month however, my focus is on obtaining LEO so that I do power up, any rewards from entering lpud are not assumed in my strategy.
I took my current powered-up total of 6.05k and chose a stretch but attainable target of becoming a LION of 15k LP. This means I need to gain 8.95k LP. I have broken this down per month and included a 10% monthly growth so the figures actually have a meaning behind them.
LEO from Delegations
In January I delegated 268 Hive Power and Currently I delegate 506 HP to

If you are using Leo Finance, then I strongly suggest delegating some HP, this will boost the HP power of the main LeoFinance curation account!
This earned me around 0.717 LEO daily back in January.
Now with recent strength surge of $LEO compared to $HIVE comparatively I get less $LEO but that is a good thing as it shows the power of LEO. So currently I receive 0.729 LEO daily.
Author Rewards
These are the rewards I received from my posts which in the case of Leo Finance are posts, threads and comments.
I now use 
I have always been fearful of writing more posts on LeoFinance, however having seen the quality of some posts that get rewarded handsomely then I should put those fears aside and write.
I am not a dumbass and have been around crypto for a few years. So yes I shall write more. By way of reference for myself I am putting all the posts and resources from the Leo team about new curation ...

Curation Rewards
These are the rewards for me curating other LeoFinance posts, comments and threads. It is minimal at the moment but hopefully will grow.
If there was more quality or should I say less spam nonsense on threads, it would be easier for me to stay for some time on threads. This would make curation much easier.
I believe there will be more initiatives coming to correct that though.
Contests
There are many giveaways, guessing contests, writing contests and LEO Finance contests where LEO is given as a prize.
I have not been participating!
So slapped wrist and I shall participate more.
We also now have a weekly author polls event.
If I am ever nominated and heaven forbid actually win a poll.
With the rewards I shall Purchase LEO from the market!
I do intend to publish more from this account so I think the total of 150 LEO a month is quite conservative!

The market and my last resort where I will go to buy LEO to ensure that my LION goal is on track!
It must be noted I am putting in orders to perhaps pick up some cheap LEO from peeps desperate for quick liquid HIVE.

Thoughts
To hit LION status I need to add 8.95k LP to my current 6.05k LP total.
Ambitious YES Impossible NO
Bottom line is that I do love $LEO as a layer 2 token, and want to really grow my stack!
With the HIVE sale going on, and no sign of it ending anytime soon, now is is a great time to build our LEO and HIVE stacks, and that is what I intend to do!
Lessons Learned from first 6 months in 2023
I post far too little hence my rewards are small. Post more and perhaps get some more rewards.
No LEO rewards from contests if you don't join.
You have to be init to winit!Be consistent and join in the activities. I am too sporadic, so need to knuckle down and be consistent OR sell up and focus elsewhere. It will be an interesting six months.
Achievable Motives?
#myleogoals are based on my strategy and having more Leo Finance related activities. Ideally, I would like to make 15 posts from my Leo alt per month and five or six threads daily. Do that and follow my strategy then I will be a LION by the end of 2023!
