Today I woke up to find a nice, dense foggy morning outside my window. I kind of like foggy mornings just so long as I don't have to go anywhere. Driving in the fog really isn't my favorite activity! But the fog should burn off in a few hours leaving a nice sunny day again here.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that Hive is still above twelve cents. I was kind of anticipating a slow erosion back down to eleven or heaven forbid ten cents! But BTC has been holding strong and is up to $103K, hopefully it will slowly start to test some higher levels this week. With any luck it will drag Hive along for the ride!
Today I am going to share my Silver Gold Stackers Twelve Days of Christmas Wish List Day 2. I'm also going to check out the silver markets as well, it's looking like a good time to pick up some silver while it's on sale! But first, my day 2 pick comes from eBay. It's a Morgan Silver dollar minted in Carson City, Nevada. I ideally would like a mint state that is grades MS-64 or higher. This one is grades MS-64 and is an absolute gem, and it probably a touch under graded. In case you are new to coin grading, MS means mint state and 64 is a grade of of 70 total points. This is an excellent coin!
Isn't that absolutely beautiful? I love all the detailing of the Morgan dollar, it really is the reason I started collecting silver dollars in the first place! The reason I like Carson City dollars is that is was a short lived mint, it also happened to produce some very high quality coins. And usually not too many of them as well. Scarcity really does translate into value in this scenario! This coin in uncirculated condition trends $830 and northward, the asking price on this beauty is $1,400. Way outside my budget at the moment, so Santa will have to be very kind this year! lol
What do you think of my day 2 wish for Santa? Just between us, it's making me drool!
I really haven't looked at the silver markets much lately. So I decided to take a look to finish off the post today. Gold has pulled back to $4K from $4,400, but silver is holding strong at $48.50. There are various reasons for this, not only is it a precious metal used in coins, jewelry, bullion bars, but is used in national metal reserves and heavily in industry. You'll find it in most of your electronics devices. Once upon a time it was used heavily in photography, but now only in medical films such as x-rays. That may not sound like much, but 27 million Troy ounces of silver are used yearly in their production. It adds up fast!

Silver charts year to date
Silver is currently in very critically short supply which means prices will be staying high for quite some time. It is possible we may never see it dip below $40 again... But with all of the market shortages, and hording done by governments and individuals, silver will likely be pushing to new all time highs early in the next year. In my non professional opinion, silver is very much on sale right now!
That will do it for day 2 on my Christmas wish list for Santa. I would love to have another Carson City Morgan Silver dollar like the one above, it really is gorgeous. And it's a great time to buy silver as well! Thanks for checking out my post today and I hope you enjoyed seeing the coin as much as I did finding it! Thanks for all of your support, it really is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and have a great rest of your weekend!
