So, one thing that I've been giving some thought to lately is how we can really take active blogging on Hive seriously, specifically the short form, especially Threads on INLEO, because I mean if we're being honest here, the tool is there, but the activity it is really lacking at a considerable level.
Threads on INLEO is basically modelled to be similar to other platforms like X in which users can quickly post quick thoughts, chat about it, remain engaged, stay active throughout the day, but when we look at the rate of engagement here compared to that of the normal conventional platforms, then the distinction is quite apparent.
What's even more perplexing is the fact that the earning aspect is something that is much more easier on Hive particularly on Threads but many are not really utilizing this even the ones that are active users of Hive.
I don't really care if you're willing to call a spade a spade at this point but we have to take blogging more seriously on Hive including threads because, if you take a look at the active bloggers on X making money consistently there, it is because they are not just spamming but are very much active every day, consistent and intentional in their posting.
They are posting multiple times in a day and interacting with users to get more exposure as they know exposure is key when it comes to getting seen online not just sporadic posting and we can very easily mimic this on threads if we just get a bit deliberate about it.
Another thing that is really special about platforms like X is the rate of engagement because people there treats it as a job, they don't see it as a place to spend their spare time but an avenue where they can interact, produce something of value and get rewarded, whereas on threads we're seeing a lot of random posts from random users, though there is nothing wrong with casual posts but the loss of opportunity is significant when users are not intentional about what they do.
On Hive the earning system on Threads are really different as we get rewarded from the container, via replies and engagement and every user that is contributing to your thread has a chance to gain from the reward pool of the day. Though this is a great idea but I feel we can do better with it.
One of the many ways to increase activity could be an earning stream based on views just like we see on X because as users know that their content can earn from views as well, that's is another level of motivation. This will help people push themselves to do better and continue to be more active on the platform.
Threads on INLEO has all that it takes to challenge the other short form platforms in the game but the main difference has to do with how users utilize the platform itself, if users become consistent, intentional and valuable on the platform the engagement and the activity will follow.
Hive has a winning edge already.
It's on us to make use of it right.
