Splinterlands
I've mentioned it before, but I still suck at playing Splinterlands with the new cards. I wish I could just buy myself a maxed deck and play with all these cool abilities again, but that's something that will never happen. That doesn't mean that I'm going to leave Splinterlands and the opportunity to earn with this awesome game that has exploded in 2021. Not at all! I will just adapt my plans and make them work again. Nothing new here, I learned to adapt quickly when needed and this comes in handy when I review my plans and goals.
Rental business
Where I was super pleased with the DEC earnings on my rentals a few months ago when Chaos Legion was released this went down quickly. I assumed this would happen before it did, so I was sort of prepared. I have to admit that I wasn't prepared to see the cards drop in value as hard as they did though. I'm thinking of checking which cards are still interesting to rent out, others I hope to maybe upgrade so that they will be appealing to rent. Until then, I guess my rental income is not adding much value. I don't want to sell the cards at these prices so I'm just going to ignore the value for a while.
Priority: Chaos Legion general sale!
I have to admit that I didn't realise Chaos Legion general sale was so close until last week. I was so focused on the other Hive goals that I forgot to include an investment strategy for chaos legion next week. Although I really would love to be able to buy 100 packs at once for the bonus packs, I have to be realistic that I can't have it all. I'm doing super well with my other targets but can't just magically have an extra bag of funds appear by next week. I accepted this, and I decided to not focus on buying 100 packs at once but go for a few packs each day maybe. I have to decide next week how many exactly, so I will give that some thoughts this week.
Instead of opening them, I'm going to hold them and first see how quickly these packs are being sold. I may just never open them at all and wait for them to sell out. That's if I can hold on to them without touching them, lol. It probably helps that the packs that I've opened in the first round of the sale were quite shitty, so the average was not worth the price I paid.
I will probably aim to buy in more when Riftwatchers goes live and hope that these Vouchers will not be needed after all. Either way, I think the smartest move to earn more in Splinterlands is by buying packs (as many as I can afford) and then holding them. Prices in the rental market are not worth renting out anyway (for me), I suck at playing, so this remains.
Stacking SPS as much as I can
The other thing that is going to plan is upping my SPS stake. I'm determined to hit the 10000 SPS target rather sooner than later and I'm constantly compounding my farming rewards and airdrop plus buying extra bags of SPS when I can. I want to take full advantage of the price being this low and the time left for the daily airdrop. So thankfully, there's also this aspect of Splinterlands where I can earn a bit of passive income.
Let's see how things work out next week. What are your plans? Are you going all-in on the general sale? Leave a comment if you like to share your plans.
