Waiting for my second silver coin
I ordered this coin on Ebay, and the seller is located in Germany. This purchase has been nothing but an absolute pain! Not because of the selling process or even the mailing of the coin, because the seller was super fast with this. I was expecting it to arrive in late March, but surprisingly, on February 18 updates already appeared at the Hungarian post tracking link. I thought I might get lucky for once regarding this delivery time. Unfortunately, the delivery person messed that up. The tracking number showed that there was a failed delivery on February 23rd, which was very odd as both of us were home and none left the house, our doorbell rings insanely loud like it almost damages your hearing, so no way that we missed that doorbell ringing.
It's been a common practice here, shitty delivery services, they just write down they tried, and never even appeared at the house. This was no exception. In this case, they even lied by writing: staircase was closed on the note of the Hungarian post. The DHL tracking showed something different: the receiver not home has been notified. When I read that, I was fuming because I knew that there was a big chance they'd just leave it where it was as they had notified me apparently. Which was not true.
I decided to give it some time
And just give them the benefit of the doubt, honestly, I admit that I was so caught up in work things and the moving preparations that I just didn't want the headache of dealing with shitty customer service. I'm telling you, the norm is very bad usually, and therefore I just postpone it as long as I can. But last week I really got fed up as the status didn't move, and it didn't seem like they were ever going to re-deliver. I had enough and filed a complaint. Showed the contradicting screenshots from the DHL vs Magyar Posta status of delivery and hoped someone would get a serious talk about this. One day later I received an email that the case was being investigated and the re-delivery was requested. I was pleasantly surprised about the quick response as well as the fact that I'd probably see the coin within a few days. Yay!
This morning at 7.30 AM, the delivery guy already called me to ask if I was home and delivered it early. I'm happy! And yeah, looking at this baby I was already quickly forgotten how long I had to wait and how shitty this process had been.
The Coin
The Front:
The Back:
Obviously, this coin has a good side and a bad side, lol. I will not pay too much attention to the back, as the front is what truly matters! So lovely!
No Certificate
I noticed there was no certificate with this coin like I had the last time, I'm not sure if I just missed that in the advertisement or that they forgot to add it. And if that's even such a horrible thing? Can you advise me on this matter dear Silver Gold Stackers in the community? Is it really better to have one, or in practice doesn't it make that much of a difference? I can't change it anymore anyway now, so for this purchase, it is what it is, and I can only learn from that. Maybe I should pay more attention instead of endless browsing getting lost in the world of shiny rounds. :)
I can't wait for the next one to add to the collection! I already decided which ones that will be, I'm going to buy the lunar coins of the children's birth years next.
