I will not make a blanket like a never ever rule but looking at it I don't really think it's healthy when children stare too much into their iPad either to play game and watch cartoons too much but what we are having now these days in christendom is that some of these kids they look into playing game and watching cartoons even during church service it is not something that we should encourage as a christian parent but what has happened has happened already then you might be thinking why is this thing a bad idea it makes them so distracted and it makes them see church as something that is for adults and they are just there to keep away the distraction immediately a child starts to see this kind of a thing as the idea he or she will not even take interest in going to church because he knows that the parents gave him the iPad to keep their distraction away this also shapes their association with others this kind of kids they don't want to associate with others because they are so immersed in their cartoon and animation and games that they are playing many of these screens are very engaging so they lose the focus of listening to the word of God and knowing God the more it can also weaken their ability to sit and listen to what God has to say because they never get to practice things easily you can have so many instances of things like this happening for example if on a sunday a child plays a racing game all through the worship session and they are being discipled just not in the direction their parents actually want there are the genuine edge cases where using devices can be instructional and can help a child to grow better and help him to accommodate other people but should not be in church some kids have disabilities sensory issues and high anxiety and the tablet can be a coping tool that can help them tolerate the environment and remain the presence with the church family sometimes a child may be using a device for bible story sermon but i believe the time for church is actually a time for church most parents have now learned the hard way that there shouldn't be games and circular cartoon during service as an adult or as a child and this goes as a default rule there are engagements that should go on among these kids and if these engagements are not encouraged it might affect their cognitive skills and their ability to communicate and rule with others digital tools are okay yes but they should not be at the detriment or obstruct or distract children from hearing the word of God and participating in the worship session of the sunday service a gentle way to think about this is that what is this part that i give my kids to use what is the impact is he helping them move from one small step closer to loving God and his people just helping me to survive just this 90 minutes to condemn the use of part by kids in church is not actually the solution the solution is making sure that they were well immersed and making sure that the sermon is as beautiful and as engaging to their eighth grade to the point that these kids can remember and relate to what they have been taught
