Greeting everyone,
The war that has been initiated between the US and Iran has resulted in many innocent people being killed. It is sad because no war ever ends well. There are only tears from those who lose the people they love, killed innocently because of it. Buildings are destroyed, and hatred is written in the hearts of human beings.
We hope the war will end, but we know that it may never truly end because of human greed. Sometimes, in the name of peace, people bring disaster upon the earth. I cannot comment much about it, because this small voice cannot bring a peaceful solution. I can only pray that the war will end, and I hope that you will stay safe wherever you are.
THE MARKET LED BY OIL
The closing of the Strait of Hormuz has pushed oil prices to recent highs, reaching almost $120 per barrel. One of the countries benefiting from this situation is the United States. Knowing which countries export or import oil is very important, because it can act as a leading indicator of what may happen to their economies, especially for countries that have only a small oil reserve to run their nation.
Just imagine how important oil is as the fuel that keeps a country running.
Below is some information about countries related to oil imports and exports, and how many days their oil reserves can last if they do not receive new supply.

From the table, we can see that the USA is still the biggest winner from the spike in oil prices. As the DXY becomes stronger, many major currency pairs are moving in a bearish direction, including the GU trade that I took.
However, oil prices have started to move back toward their previous levels before the panic began. We hope that the oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz can safely leave the area, even though it is considered very dangerous due to the risk of tanker ships being targeted by Iranian missiles and the presence of unpredictable sea mines.
If the tankers are able to move safely out of the region, we may see the DXY weaken, which could give a bullish correction to the major currency pairs.
