Yesterday I found out about an NFT art project that could have a huge resell value. Looking at all the hyped stuff these days and depending on what you are looking for this one really has potential to be an easy flip or a solid long term HODL:

What makes this project special?

Artvatars is a project that MantaXR (a NFT and Crypto Art Collector and Investor) is spearheading and it is been a long time in the making. All of the upcoming artworks are a part of the Manta collection and the project is initiated together with over 60 of the world's best crypto artists.

Each of the participating artists have provided one or two pieces of art. These artworks all feature a person, plus a frame and a hunter background.

Artvatars has developed software to cut apart each of the individual artworks at certain points, making it possible to mix all the pieces from all the artists, and putting them back together using AI and certain other techniques. This means that from the different parts of the various artists' artwork, a single-edition artwork will be randomly generated upon purchase. This also guarantees that each artwork will be truly unique.

In essence, the software will generate unique NFTs that have the artwork of different artists in them. For example, an NFT may have the mouth of artist A, the ears of artist B, the shoulders of artist C, and so on. Below are some possible examples of the artworks, but very likely these exact pieces will never exist.

Additionally, most artists have created wearables such as hats or sunglasses. These wearables are optional and some of the generated NFTs also get one or more wearables.

The project will be launced on the second layer of Ethereum. As a result, the overpriced Ethereum gas prices are a thing of the past. In fact, there is no gas cost when purchasing and transferring these NFTs. It will be one of the first art projects to make use of this technology.

When is the launch?

In the next few days. They are aiming to put out an exact release date tomorrow on Wednesday the 24th. The total available amount will be limited to 20,000. And, there are also some surprises planned for the NFTs, which are not revealed yet.

Price?

The pricing is not disclosed yet, but will be made public close to launch date.

Thoughts

Looking at the success of #hashmasks and the current NFT boom, this is a project that will very likely blow up quite fast. I am hoping to scoop at least one, but I think the demand will be very high and I am certain I will need to be very quick and even lucky to get one.
