To my understanding of this write up, these people are saying these things for two reasons

• They don’t want to unlearn what they have learnt. Convincing an elderly person is very very difficult especially when they have an option that has been working so much for them.

• The second is they are too proud to go back on their words. Probably as giants in the investment community, they have a point to prove.

But seriously, their analogy of what crypto is is not really that sensible. They spoke just like my mum. She calls crypto baba ijebu (gambling).
