Investing in Startups has usually been mostly for VCs and big investors. But now with Funderbeam it's also possible for you. A quick overview of the platfrom Funderbeam.
What is Funderbeam?
In short Funderbeam is a platfrom where you can invest and trade the shares of Startups.
This is what they write on their homepage:
Funderbeam is a funding and trading platform for high-growth private companies. It helps founders raise funds beyond borders and provides access — and unique liquidity — to early stage equity investors.
It was founded in 2013 by Kaidi Ruusalepp and Urmas Peiker in Tallinn, Estonia. They launched Funderbeam Markets in 2016 with the first four companies raising funds, and shortly after they were trading on the secondary market. In August 2018, Funderbeam started operating as a regulated UK entity, Funderbeam Markets LTD, after being authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
Now they also have an investment firm licence in Estonia and also Singapore for the users outside the EEA region.
So again another great thing coming from Estonia. There has been a big spike in Startups that actually succeed and have great products coming from Estonia in the last 5-10 years.

Ways to add funds
You can add funds with Credit cards, Debit cards, Bank Transfers or using Tranferwise (another Estonian Startup). You can withdraw to your Bank account.
The webpage is easy to use. Currently they only have one new active campaign where you can invest new money into. But They had 2 new investment opportunities during the last month, that already gathered the funds.
Tradable Starups - best and worst performers
As you can see from the graph, the average prices of the Startups have gone up quite some in the last year accoring to this Index graph.
A list of the best growing Startups in the last year. 4 Startups have grown more than 200% and 9 have grown more than 100% in a year, that's pretty good. (44 Startups tradeable in total) Not quite compareable with some cryptocurrencies, but better than the average stockmarket, but this also comes with a bigger risk.
Let's look at the worst performing ones also. As we can see there are some Startups not doing so well. 14 Startups have lost more than 20% in the year, so it's not only gains, you have to choose wisely and not go all in on one Startup.
And for the last part let's also look at the best performers of the last month. 14 of them have grown more than 10%. In total there are 44 Startups currently on Funderbeam and they keep adding more. So if you are interested in Startups, you should keep an eye on this platfrom.
My personal favourites that trade there are Ampler Bikes, Bikeep, Change, and Promoty - Startups with real good products that are still in the beginning phases.
