I've got a history of designing kick-ass silver bars/rounds, and while the 2018 #steemsilverround hold a special place in my heart, it's this piece of art that makes me most proud.
You see the 2018 SSR was, is and always will be a community design, made for the silver stacking community and bought by the community. But this bar was created specifically for a good man and a great friend. While I tried to capture what the community meant to me with the 2018 SSR, to create a piece of silver tailored to an individual is far harder.
I managed to find the old blog I wrote talking through my thought process of how I ended up with the design, and you can read it HERE
Made from Canadian maples (or so I've be told), this 12.5oz, 9999 fs lump of silver takes pride of place in my precious metal community chest. It has nothing to do with its weight, or value, but simply because it was a gift from a top bloke who I have a lot of time for.
You newer members won't remember the beginnings of our community, the old days and all the things did for this community. He's taken a bit of a back seat lately, and I do miss what he brings to the community I call home here on the blockchain.
