Every month, I write this series of articles about items in fashion and their history. Yesterday, I wrote about trousers.
Did you know that it was pretty much a criminal offence if a lady was seen wearing a trouser before the 19th century? Heck! In the 18th century, showing her feet was a criminal offence.
The world has always been a sick place.
However, one thing that caught my attention is the fact that once it begins the world never goes back.
It's like in the late 1940s when the bikini came into existence and many fashion critics said it would NEVER be accepted by the world and here we are. Now we have thongs.
The world fears change. Know this and know peace.
Today, countries are trying so hard to show down some technological advancements, they will fail. You should know this and live like it. It reduces fear and increases confidence.
The China crackdown set to wreck the lives of traders and crypto holders has caused traders to go back to what they once knew - OTC trading, also known as Over-The-Counter trading.
In 2017 when the Chinese government had a similar crackdown, OTC saved them from going completely under. And now, they've seen the need to return to it. The struggle must go on.
One thing Nigerians have in common is the understanding that all government regulations have holes.
When the regulation against fiat-crypto operations with financial institutions came up, many people panicked. However, the brains started working. I didn't panic, I knew there would be a way around it.
Then came P2P and we've been good ever since.
Rumour had it that the government had their eyes on wrecking something about crypto transactions since the #endsars protests. Who knows? Their publicly known reason was stopping fraud. However, their actions did absolutely nothing to stop fraud. Everyone has moved on as nothing happened.
Be still and know that the government regulations have holes. We're all going to be alright in the end.
Just like the world couldn't stop bikinis and trousers, they can't really stop anything.
