Get Started: Adding Hive to Your Zypto Wallet
Ready to dive in? Here’s a quick guide to setting up your Hive account in the Zypto App.
- Open the Zypto App and navigate to your DeFi wallet. If you're new, you can create a new wallet or import an existing one.
- From your wallet, tap 'Receive'. You'll see a list of supported blockchains, including Hive.
- Tap on Hive, then choose to either create a new Hive account or import an existing one.
- Importing an existing account links it to your current DeFi wallet for easy access. If you change devices, you'll simply need to re-import both the DeFi wallet and your Hive account.
- Creating a new Hive account ties it permanently to your DeFi wallet's seed phrase. This means you can restore both your multi-chain wallet and your Hive account together in the future with a single seed.
- Finally, you'll choose how to fund the account creation fee. The best part? You can use another cryptocurrency you already hold, like Solana (SOL), to cover the cost.
Using Hive and HBD for Payments
The integration makes using your Hive and HBD seamless for a variety of payment products. Let's walk through a simple example: topping up a virtual VISA card.
- Open the 'Cards and Payments' tab at the bottom of the app.
- Apply for a virtual card and complete the quick KYC process. Once approved (usually within minutes), tap 'Top Up'.
- Choose HIVE or HBD, enter the amount, select the account you want to use, and confirm. In a flash, your card balance is updated and ready to be used online or in stores.
You can follow a similar process to pay bills or send mobile top-ups directly with Hive and HBD where available.
