I don’t consider my self a car-person. I never dreamed of owning expensive sports cars or building a huge garage to house my 10 luxury cars. No, I don’t even dream of owning a Tesla or at least, not yet with the current Philippine setting. Besides, I have no enough bitcoin for that (How I wish). If I should own a car someday, I have three simple requirements:
- It should be gorgeous (must come first)
- Versatile in any terrain (because I have no plans of owning different cars
for different purpose)
- 7 seater capacity (because I have a big family)
If someone asks me what’s my dream car, it’s a straight forward answer– **3.0 LS-A 4x4 Isuzu MUX.** I want a car that I know I can own within the next two or three years. For me it’s a realistic dream and if I just hustle a bit more, I’d finally be able to afford one.

What I Love About MUX: Gorgeous Design
I love the chrome radiator grill of this gorgeous beast and how it perfectly matches its headlights. This grill and unique headlights makes it distinguishable from it's almost similar looking cousin, the ISUZU D-Max. It gives the car a sporty but still, elegant look. The tires are also something I particularly like. I am not a fan of shiny chrome tires that I often see most SUV’s. The two-tone alloy tires with grey and black combination looks very sleek and looks good with pearl white, the car color I wish to have. Lastly, it has a nice contrasting black trim that surrounds the lower half of the its body with LED daytime running lights at the lower front.

On this view, it has the distinct shape of the "third window" while the back has its iconic trapezoidal tail light with chrome in between, connecting both lights together. I like how the tail lights kinda' gives the driver from the car behind a menacing "keep-your-distance" look.
What I Love About The Car: Isuzu-MUX Technical Features
Now that I have showed you how my love for car is immensely influenced by the looks, let us walk through its technical features before you misjudge me for being a shallow person.

ISUZU-MUX Engine, Image Source
It has Cooler and VGS Turbo Charger. The Engine is Euro-4 compliant that can produce 177 PS maximum power and 380 N-M Maximum Torque which is perfect for city and highway driving. The car also features a steel timing chain. It is more reliable, durable and requires less maintenance cost compared to conventional rubber belt. (Car Specifications from Isuzu Website).
What I Love About The Car: After-Sales Service
Like I said, I am not a car person and I can’t talk about “Car-things” with in-depth technical knowledge. In fact, I’d probably the type who is more likely to be overcharged for repair/maintenance work. If a car problem’s solution doesn’t appear on the first page of google search engine, I’d definitely wouldn’t attempt taking things on my own hands. So I definitely need car with very accessible and has reputable service centers. There are currently two service centers for Isuzu in Cebu. I also heard from friends that Isuzu, like Toyota and Honda, are some of the cars with readily available spare parts in Cebu. Hence repair works wouldn’t be expensive. But that would only be a problem after their service warranty of 3 years.
How Much Does it Cost to Own one?

In the Philippines, it would cost, PHP 2,155,000 with additional PHP 10,000 if I get my favorite Pearl White Color, which totals to PHP 2,165,000 (44,886.40 USD). Isuzu has multiple financing options. Car loans are also offered by banks which would require address verification, proof of employment and declaration of annual income. My brother’s car loan application took a month before approval so if would probably take that long should I choose to finance it through car loan.
Where Am I Taking This Car?
Long Drives

I love long drives with friends and family. Philippines has so many destinations perfect for a long drive. With roof rail capacity of 60 kg, it should have no troubles in carrying a whole family’s travel essentials. It has a sturdy step board to reach the top of the car, perfect for a 5-foot-one human like me. The 230 mm clearance and rigid chassis makes the car ideal to drive in any terrain especially in some remote parts in Cebu where concrete roads aren’t constructed yet.
To Work

That's me at work, but not my car 😁
The car's 8-inch Audio-Video Entertainment system is great to avoid losing my tempter in the Cebu morning rush traffic. Frequent flooding in some areas in Cebu shouldn’t be a problem too with the car’s 230 mm clearance.
To My Performances!

The back seats can easily be folded for more space. I can fit 2 stage poles, my costumes, my make up bag, and even 10 pairs of heels with its spacious back compartment. I can stow extra cargo thanks to its fold flat second and third row seats.

To Deliver Products (For My Small Business)

What a sad faith for such a gorgeous car. But as I said, I want to have something of great utility. It will be a perfect vehicle, with its large cargo capacity, for my small business.
That's it! Now that I have walk you through all the details that I love about the car, let us have a last and final look of my dream car, with me on it, because hey, visualize and it shall happen right?

VISUALIZE, AND IT WILL HAPPEN...RIGHT?!!
How about you? What is your dream car? I genuinely hope that one day, you get to drive it too.
