Detailing seems to be the order of the week, I noticed the veneer needed some attention. Generally the what I think is Walnut wood veneer is in great condition on the doors and the dashboard, however centre console that has faded somewhat.
Therefore I watched some videos and read up online and found some solutions, the majority said you could polish it up using a cutting compound, I haven't got that, I did have some other products that may just help.
I used ISO propylene or something similar to that name, I'd used this to clean the surface where I was going to apply Gtechnique trim restorer,it has a very high alcohol content, perfect to wipe down the veneer.
When first applied the finish looks amazing, yet it fades within seconds, that doesn't matter though, I now know the surface is clean and I can apply some Tripple from Auto Finesse, a great polish.
I put little bit on the cloth started rubbing it in, from the photos you can see it is starting to have an affect but it's gonna take a lot more than just rubbing it with a cloth.
I'm going to read up and see if I can find some more information on refining the finish, however it does look far better.
Wonder what's next for the C124.
