So HiveFest 2020 has just come to a close, and it was interesting, to say the least.
A huge thank you to all those who – by thinking outside the box – made this event even possible during these crazy times: especially . Ben and I take our hats off to you.
Both of us spent some time in the AltSpace, and I found it funny that no matter what Ben tried, every time he tried to talk to someone, he sounded like a robot.
Unfortunately, things got really buggy at this point, so I zoomed off to make dinner – this is when Ben finally had some success, and managed to have a good wander round, and speak to some people.
A highlight was that the NFT Gallery worked – hurrah! And, check it out – Ben made it to the main stage (pic below)
After dinner it was time to dive back in, as it was time for ’s session. I logged in, and headed to the main stage, but alas! the portal didn’t work.
A couple of tries later, and after a number of people walking right through me, it was time to call it quits.
We are really glad we caught a glimpse of this, as it opened our eyes to the future of Virtual Conferencing.
Ben and I are sure this will be our new normal for a while, so count us in for the next virtual get together 😉
We look forward to meeting you all in person once things get back to normal.
Stay safe everyone, and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
