This is the 2020 Facelift Civic Type R - the FK8. There are four trims in the range - the Type R, the GT, the Sportline and the Limited Edition.
We had the GT on review for a week, and this is a first look at this hot hatch.
Since it's inception in 1997, the Type R has impressed with its performance, styling and affordability, and that was even when the first one - the EK9 - was only available in the U.K. as an import!
The very next model - the EP3 - was actually built in the U.K.and this mighty machine has gotten better and better. It was so well received, it actually exported to Japan. Wow!
It has won multiple awards, and is a firm favourite of many, as not only is it a fantastic car to drive, there is enough space for your family, and capacity for luggage and shopping too!
It's got 320 PS, pulls 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds, and runs a quarter mile in less than 14 seconds, and will take you to a top speed of 169 miles per hour...
It even has uprated brakes, and has been remapped too, meaning it's faster and can stop faster too!
Prices start at just over £34,000 - this GT is £35,415.00.
A fact that may suprise you is how many safety features are on this car - it even has adaptive cruise control.
