Look at this - have you ever seen one of these at a charging station? This was Qualcomm's release of their WEVC in action, charging a BMW i8 Safety Car (which was far from standard) Qualcomm also developed DEVC.
We first saw this when we attended the Formula E preview back in 2015 at Donington Park - can you believe that this was five and a half years ago?
We saw the cars, drivers and this Halo over the air electric car charger at the Formula E HQ.
Not only did we see this tech up close, we got to experience how fast the i8 Safety Car is, as we both had the chance to experience a hot lap in one with a world class Formula E driver. Ben got to drive with Nelson Piquet Jr, and Annabelle got to drive with Bruno Correia.

Since we filmed this, this technology has since been acquired by WiTricity.
