I introduce myself to you I am Venezuelan and very fond of cars, I am a mechanic by profession so my empathy for this type of content is very strong, this time thanks to the contest #ocd we will talk about the car of my dreams and the cost it has in my country.
Well I tell you that in #Venezuela anyone dreams of someday having a Toyota four runner truck of the year in my particular case I could dream of having a four runner trd pro which already comes with certain modifications for the off road world.
But I have a dream even more particular and is that the car of my dreams and I have it at home and it is a chevrolet pick up c-10 of 1969 which is in my family since the first day that rolled since it was bought at the dealership by my grandfather in that year, I call this truck the founder since with it my grandfather traveled the entire country more than once serving customers wherever they are and achieving all its economic objectives that today is the legacy of my dad and my uncles.
As I have been saying it was used for daily work in the workshop until 1980 when he bought another truck but this did not come out so good, this pick up continued its work in the workshop under the use of my dad until 2007 when he suffers a heart attack and takes a rest, it is at that time when I start a process of restoration of the same.
At the moment the real restoration that has been done is brass and paint new brakes in its entirety upholstery is in process and the engine is operational, she has a 6 cylinder engine in line model 250 which is the same that brought from new with a 4 speed manual transmission, and has its 15 inch iron rims.
The car of my dreams is a fusion of this truck but taking it to the XXI century by replacing the stock engine with a Vortec V8 5.3 Liter OHV 16-Valve Flex-Fuel engine, the same that uses the tahoe and silverado from 2007 onwards, it would be installed with all its electronics to be able to adapt to this century.
In the interior of the same would replace the vinyl seat by a tahoe center console seats that are upholstered in leather with the logo of the brand chevrolet sealed in each of them, adding to this a modern stereo sound system with internet connection which has its speakers of good brands and very good performance that has distribution of bass, mid and treble, with air conditioning system of course.
The exterior aesthetics will only be modified by the use of the 20 inch wheels that brings the tahoe from 2007 onwards with tires profile 50 high, playing with the suspension of the same so that it looks a proper bearing between the rim and the body.
As this is a family heirloom I have promised not to sell it and keep it in the family also I have as a promise to have it at best as a car for daily use and no longer for heavy work.
Now this is the car of my dreams and for my dreams to materialize in Venezuela the most economical possible would be to get a tahoe auction of accidents to get all the parts described above as necessary, in fact this would greatly reduce the costs since making an engine around $ 600, the upholstery $ 400 tahoe rims cost more or less $ 300 each and electronics or think of the costs. But such a wrecked truck should not go over $2500 and we would get as many parts as possible.
After getting this car the man hours needed are many but because I am a mechanic I would do it in my free time with the help of some close friends and why not with the help of my son so he can learn about mechanics.
After continuing dreaming and planning the expenses we must take into account the expenses for legal procedures so that the car can circulate in the country with these modifications that should be close to $1000 more.
The audio video and air conditioning system is another $1000 in expenses and we can add another $500 for the labor of an electrician to achieve the distribution and connection of all the new electronics.

Hola a todos mis amigos de #HIVE y en esta oportunidad en especial a los amigos de la comunidad de #planetauto y #ocd que gracias a esta ultima descubrí esta maravillosa comunidad con la que creo me voy a llevar muy bien.
Me presento ante ustedes soy Venezolano y muy aficionado a los autos, soy mecánico de profesión por lo que mi empatía por este tipo de contenidos es muy fuerte, en esta oportunidad que gracias al concurso #ocd vamos a hablar del auto de mis sueños y el costo que tiene en mi país.
Bueno les cuento que en #Venezuela cualquier persona sueña con algún día tener una camioneta Toyota four runner del año en mi caso particular podría soñar con tener un four runner trd pro la cual ya viene con ciertas modificaciones para el mundo off road.
Pero les tengo un sueño mas particular aun y es que el auto de mis sueños ya lo tengo en casa y se trata de una chevrolet pick up c-10 del año 1969 la cual esta en mi familia desde el primer día que rodo puesto que fue comprada en el concesionario por mi abuelo en ese año, a esta camioneta le digo la fundadora puesto que con ella mi abuelo recorrió el país entero mas de una vez atendiendo clientes donde estos se encontraran y logrando cumplir todos sus objetivos económicos que hoy en día es la herencia de mi papa y mis tíos .
Como les vengo diciendo se uso para el trabajo diario en el taller aproximadamente hasta el año de 1980 cuando compro otra camioneta pero esta no salió tan buena, esta pick up siguió sus labores en el taller bajo el uso de mi papa hasta el año del 2007 cuando el sufre un infarto y toma un reposo, es en ese momento cuando empiezo un proceso de restauración de la misma.
Por los momentos la restauración real que se le ha hecho es latonería y pintura frenos nuevos en su totalidad tapicería esta en proceso y el motor esta operativo, ella cuenta con un motor de 6 cilindros en línea modelo 250 el cual es el mismo que trajo desde nueva con una transmisión manual de 4 velocidades, y posee sus rines de 15 pulgadas de hierro.
El auto de mis sueños esta en una fusión de esta camioneta pero llevándola al siglo XXI reemplazando el motor de serie por un motor vortec V8 5.3 Liter OHV 16-Valve Flex-Fuel el mismo que usa la tahoe y silverado del 2007 en adelante, el mismo seria instalado con toda su electrónica para poder adecuarnos a este siglo.
En el interior de la misma reemplazaría el asiento corrido de vinil por unas butacas con consola central de tahoe que vienen tapizadas en cuero con el logo de la marca chevrolet sellados en cada una de ellas, agregando a esto un equipo de sonido moderno estéreo con conexión a internet el cual tenga sus parlantes de buenas marcas y muy buen rendimiento que tenga distribución de bajos medios y agudos, con sistema de aire acondicionado por supuesto.
La estética exterior solo será modificada por el uso de los rines 20 pulgadas que trae la tahoe del 2007 en adelante con cauchos perfil 50 de altura, jugando con la suspensión de la misma para que esta luzca un porte adecuado entre el rin y la carrocería.
Por ser este una reliquia familiar le he prometido no venderla y conservarla en la familia también tengo como promesa tenerla en el mejor de los casos como auto de uso diario y ya no para trabajo pesado.
Ahora bien este el el auto de mis sueños y para que mis sueños se materialicen en Venezuela lo mas económico posible seria conseguir una tahoe de remate de siniestros para obtener todas las partes antes descritas como necesarias, en realidad esto abarataría bastante los costos puesto que hacer un motor ronda los 600$, la tapicería 400$ los rines de tahoe cuestan mas o menos 300$ cada uno y la electrónica ni pensar en los costos. Pero una camioneta así de siniestro no debería pasar de unos 2500$ y obtendríamos la mayor cantidad de partes posibles.
Luego de conseguir este auto las horas hombres necesarias son muchas pero por ser yo mecánico lo haría en mis tiempos libres con la ayuda de algunos amigos allegados y porque no con la ayuda de mi hijo para que vaya aprendiendo de la mecánica.
Luego de seguir soñando y planificando los gastos debemos meter en cuenta los gastos por tramites legales para que el auto pueda circular en el país con estas modificaciones que debe estar cerca de 1000$ mas.
El sistema de audio video y airea condicionado ronda otros 1000$ en gastos y podemos sumar otros 500$ por mano de obra de un electricista para lograr la distribución y conexión de toda la electrónica nueva.
Por aquí ya concluyo de describir mi sueño y caemos en la realidad que vivimos donde en mi caso particular estoy muy agradecido con Dios por permitirme tener mi auto de uso diario operativo y sin muchos inconvenientes ya que en la realidad del país es un tremendo privilegio y bueno la camioneta la tengo estacionada en mi garaje con la esperanza de que mi situación económica mejore y lograr ponerla a ruedo.
