After a long time waiting for the latest news from the world's automotive companies to circulate, the leaks we get are that Jeep will release its first electric car which will be launched in 2023.
Of course you are curious about the various features and concepts that will be offered by Jeep for their newest product, named Magneto.
The Jeep Magneto was introduced at the 2021 Easter Jeep Safari, which is identical to the introduction of a custom car.
The Jeep Magneto is a Wrangler Rubicon converted into a pure electric car.
Interestingly, the Pentastar V6 engine configuration with a cubication of 3.6 liters is replaced with an electric motor that produces around 285 hp and 370 Nm of torque.
The electric motor with a voltage of 800 volts is able to accelerate the Jeep Magneto from 0-60 miles / hour (96 km / hour) in 6.8 seconds.
The Jeep Magneto still utilizes a 6-speed manual transmission complete with a 2-speed transfer case that is channeled to all wheels.
Because it uses an electric motor, the Jeep Magneto doesn't need to use the clutch when it starts moving. But the clutch is still needed when the car is running to shift gears.
There are four lithium ion batteries positioned in various places. The first is positioned to replace the gas tank, then the second is in the opposite position.
Jeep plans to bring this Magneto to Moab, Utah, United States to study and test its off-road capabilities.
Will there be a mass version of the electric Jeep Wrangler in the future? Let's wait for the first launch in 2023, thank you for visiting me in this post.
