This happened some time ago, but the memory still feels fresh. I’ve been planning to post about it, and today just felt like the right time.
It was the induction ceremony of a friend who really means a lot to me. She’s older than me, more experienced, and someone I respect so much. You know those kind of people that don’t talk too much or show off, but you can tell they’re serious and going far in life? That’s the kind of person she is.
When she told me about the induction, I was honestly more excited . I kept reminding her about the date and telling her I must be there. I didn’t want to miss it for anything. I knew it was more than just wearing a gown or taking pictures it was the result of years of effort.
That day, the hall was filled up. Students in white, parents, lecturers, even small children came. Everybody was looking nice. I just sat and watched everything, taking small videos and just enjoying the moment. Then they started calling names. When my friend stood up and walked forward, I couldn’t stop smiling ,I was recording but my heart was just full of happiness. I’ve seen how hard she worked for this moment. The sleepless nights and the stress, But she never gave up.
She doesn’t talk much about her struggles, but I know it wasn’t easy. Seeing her there, being honoured in front of everyone made me so proud.
I’ve learned plenty from her, the way she carries herself, the way she handles stress always calm, No drama, Just focus, It really motivated me.
After the ceremony, I hugged her and said, “Senior ma, don’t forget us o.” We laughed, but I meant it. She really inspires me.
I’m sharing this today not just to celebrate her again, but also to remind you reading this that your own time will come. Don’t give up. Just keep doing your part. With time, effort, and with God by your side, you’ll also reach your own goal, progress is real even if it feels slow, you’re getting there. Stay focused, trust your process, and let God handle the timing.
Your own induction, graduation, or big win is
coming. Don’t stop believing.🤗😊😍😌😭
