How long have we been driven, to take sides. To either go with the right or the left, even though they are a part of the same thing. In war, they want us to pick a side. To side with the "Country", that best supports their agenda.
So the propaganda begins. The bombardment in full force. Everywhere in the media there are images and footage, to feed the narrative.
So do we stand a world divided, where we are expected to either support Palestine or Israel. Where we are expected to choose one people over another.
Divisive tactics. We have such a long history of falling for these tactics. Too long a history. A very painful and bloody history and yet we keep repeating it. They keep repeating it and so many continue to follow suit.
When did we stop standing with the people and instead blindly follow the regime. Valuing one person's life over another. Innocent people, that just want to live in peace. How well they have played this division game, where we are losing our humanity. Losing our ability to see ourselves in others.
I see and feel the hate, from both sides. Both sides that continue to fuel wars. And I understand, when you see the death and destruction. When you get to experience first hand the pain of those who have lost loved ones in war. Who have witnessed atrocities, which have left huge scars, scars so huge that it can be debilitating at times.
Of course there is hate and anger. But that hate and anger, needs to be directed at those who allow this to happen, those pulling the strings.
But instead, I see people attacking those who don't agreed with them, who sit on the wrong side.
Attacking each other, fueling the war, even justifying it.
Today I heard, that the whole of Gaza is without electricity and internet. Total blackout. It is horrific what has been happening whilst everyone was watching, now one can only imagine, what will happen when we are not. Although I really don't want to.
How many innocent people need to die and how can one justify it, when those who caused it, sit protected. Untouchables.
We need to meet each other in the middle. Step away from the sides, that they try to push us towards.
We need to unite. To stand with one another, instead of against.
I feel helpless in moments like this. But that's exactly, how they want us to feel. We need to change the way we talk and interact. Allowing our focus, to be Unity.
