Sunday was a very windy, cloudy day. The wind howled as it wrapped around my house. In my backyard the Indian Magic Flowering Crabapple Tree was blowing back and forth in the wind. About mid-afternoon I noticed a Yellow-headed Blackbird balancing on a branch as it swayed.
I do not see Yellow-headed Blackbirds in my backyard every year. When I do, it is only for a day or two as the Yellow-headed Blackbirds migrate through the area.
Even though the branch was swaying in the wind these are some of the best pictures I have gotten of a Yellow-headed Blackbird.
