A weekend with friends was an idea. An idea I knew one day I would implement. Time isn’t our friend but we aren’t worried as we still have life to live each day. it was planned and I would say that weekend was one of the days in our lives we will forever keep in our memories. It is fun and we should do this always.
From school holidays and many have been indoors. We haven’t met in a while and just a single idea sparked that. we gathered made the preparations and boom, we were there on Saturday to take out all the fun. The location, red Clay in Tamale.
Red Clay is an art recreational center in Tamale. It is a place you can find amazing arts and many physical things you saw as a kid but civilization erased them. It gives way for the growing generation to see how life was 20 years back. That was where we went. It wasn’t a new place to us but we still had to take advantage of its beauty. To commend them, they always update their things, and you get to see new things almost anytime you go there.
It wasn’t so much a party. A day to be ourselves it was. we had games and some drinks that could get us there as we had fun. We went there at 10:00 am that Saturday and anticipated leaving at 4:00 pm. We brought up games we played. We had the “UNO”. Many didn’t know it; that was the first day they felt it. after the first tutorials and we played one of the games. They saw the fun part of it. It was a joy as we all played it together. The joy of seeing someone having many Uno cards. Which made you wonder when they will be done with those cards to be out. it was the fun part of the day and almost everyone wish they had Uno to play with friends.
Aside from the fun, I reflected on the hangout. I was pleased we had it. we had conversations that opened up many doors. People we had never had the chance to have a conversation with were there. It was a great stage for socialization and everyone took advantage of that. it was a great one.
Friends have always been the people I cherish most. They show you the love your family will give you. They stick around to see you grow. Most of us had our lives far from home and it’s these friends who were there to see how we grew to be the people we are today. I value them and this was one of the ways we could sit, reflect and share ideas as to how we will all grow tomorrow. It was a lovely weekend. I just had to share it.
