What a pleasant weekend. Every weekend have a special event that makes it different and special.
For this past few weeks, a lot of things took place in my area. But I want to talk about a special one that I was involved.
It happens to be the traditional wedding of my cause mate. She is very special indeed, because when we started the semester in 200 level I was just attracted to her by her kindness. She is just a kind of person that is very serious with her studies, and that was actually what attracted me to her.
Her husband is a very lucky man, because she is a wife material. You know in Africa, our men love a lady that that is hard working. And she is the type that every African man will love to be with.
The traditional wedding is called "Ebekme" and it is like wine carrying among the South East in Nigeria. But here in Nasarawa State where I reside the wine is replaced with beans. And this is done in the lady's family house where her bride price will also be paid.
Most of my cause mates graced the occasion with their presence, and the "ashebi" which stands for the uniform that family, friends and well wishers may decide to buy to make the occasion look beautiful and attractive.
We were all entertained by the chief celebrant, with assorted drinks and food.
Lots of people were in attendance and many gifts were given to the celebrants by her parents and well wishers. She in turn gave out gifts to the people that came to celebrate with her family. As her cause mates we received from her a jotter and bucket each as a gift.
