Who doesn't like to sleep comfortably? I think that without a doubt one of the pleasures I enjoy most in life is sleeping, for me resting is extremely important and when I can't sleep comfortably is one of the worst things that can happen to me, so as you can imagine I like to have the right outfit for the occasion, that's why I decided to participate in this #weekend-engagement.
Bed time stories.
I know people who wear nothing to bed and those who cover right up with a nightie or pyjamas. How about you? What's your preference to wear to bed and why? Extra bonus points for showing us the pictures.
For me the perfect pajamas are those that are comfortable and soft, besides being cool enough or warm enough depending on the season, I live in Mexico and here we have relatively well marked the seasons, in autumn-winter it's cold, while in spring-summer it's hot, so it's quite important to have options for all occasions.
For the warmer months I opt for fairly airy cotton garments, which give me enough freedom of movement and freshness, I don't like to sleep in tight clothes or clothes that are not soft. I am not a person who gets overheated easily, so I don't usually sleep without clothes, besides Mexico is a highly seismic place and you always have to have something decent on, because you never know when it's time to run away, because unfortunately earthquakes don't respect sleep.
My favorite pajamas for the hot months is a robe that I bought when my son was born and although it is already several years old it is fantastic because it is very soft, quite wide and extremely fresh, in these months I always have an emergency robe on hand so that in case of an earthquake I can go out in the street without exposing myself so much, Because once it happened to me that the seismic alert sounded and I took too long to go out looking for something to cover myself because I don't like to go out only in my robe, luckily that time the earthquake was not strong and there was no problem with me not going out immediately.
In the cold months is when I usually suffer the most, as Shrek would say, I end up looking like an onion because I wear so many layers, although I still choose soft and loose-fitting clothes. As I say, what I do to survive the cold is to dress in layers, I start with a layer of long sleeve thermal clothing on top and long pants for the bottom, if it is very cold I wear a pullover or sweatshirt and finish with a layer of some fleece pajamas wide enough to not feel tight with so many clothes, if I feel it is very cold I can even add some socks, although these I usually take them off at midnight because I do not like the feeling of having them on all night.
My favorite choice for the cold DEFINITELY is a Hello Kitty pajama that one of my best friends gave me and it's a real delight, it's made of fleece type fabric, the top part consists of a kind of robe that I love because it gives me the possibility to adjust it to my liking depending on the amount of layers I have underneath. The bottom is a simple pant of the same fabric and very wide to meet my requirement for looseness. Even though the colors are not my favorite, the comfort it gives me, plus how warm it is, make me completely forget that I don't like pink.
Something that drastically changed my way of seeing and buying pajamas was the birth of my son, since I breastfed him from the day of his birth, and we continue to this day. For him night feedings have always been the most important, that's why since he was born I had to change pajamas to ones that could be opened easily so I could breastfeed my son comfortably.
As I mentioned at the beginning, for me sleeping is extremely important and sleeping comfortably is even more, so, that's why if I go to sleep somewhere that is not my house, I always, but always take some comfortable pajamas to sleep with me, I am not one of those people who can sleep with clothes to go out or street clothes, some time ago I did, I remember when I went to college I even slept with my clothes on to save me time to get ready in the mornings. But time goes by and there comes a certain age when one begins to value comfort above all things.
Thanks so much for reading and see you in the next #weekend-engagement ✌️.
