"Work hard in silence, let your success be the noise." - Frank Ocean
Over the time, we have seen that the world is an habitat of people with different levels, hierarchy and status. It doesn't look abnormal if there is actually two people or a group of people doing the same thing and its still not working out positively for them all.
Not because they are not doing the right thing that the person who got it right is doing but then it seems that aside hardwork, luck does its own work by shinning upon a CHOOSEN one and causing his/her hardwork to pay off extraordinarily.
In between all of this, getting it right amongst all others or when they could not may want to push us in showing off what we've achieved and they could not. That feeling of "let them know that I have passed them" or probably to attract more opportunities especially in this social media era that we are.
People's work and brands get promoted easily as long as there is a success story to follow since they would always recognize and deal with a successful person and not the struggling ones.
Those are few of the major reasons I feel like people cook up and build on in their minds as "a behind the scene" act.
It's a different thing when we celebrate our success and when we show off although there may be a tiny line that differentiate them as they might wanna look similar but the intention and manner of expressing it makes the whole difference to me.
Trying to show the success or rub it in the face of people kind of make some people feel like failure or something.
At times this may be a kickstart from a positive mindset in the sense that what you have seen others doing and there was nothing to show for it as an achievement, you started doing it or you all did it together and you were able to be successful. Like you're being thankful for the success but then, the success should speak by itself to those who are yet to be successful, either motivating them that they can also be successful like you someday or to make them have a check on what they may be doing wrong.
Rounding up with a proverb in my tribe that says:
Bi isu eni ba ta, a ma ndowo bo je ni
Meaning when you harvest a big yam from your farm, you should eat it codedly. That is, don't brag about your success to others. While you're harvesting and carrying it home (celebrating your success) they are watching you doing that already and might send their greetings....
In other words, it may even be dangerous as the heart of man is filled with wickedness.
