Hello Hivers 😊 Another day for a new blog! I hope everyone has a great day 😊
In recent weeks, we faced challenges as we sought an early intervention for our son’s speech delay and noticed some unusual behavior indicative of autism. To address this, we consistently took him along wherever we went, ensuring exposure beyond our home environment. On weekends, we frequented local mall playgrounds, fostering his socialization with other children as a part of his development progress.
In connection with this, I confided with my mom's friends already and to Ma'am . Their attentive ears and quick fingers in replying to my messages, relatable stories, and uplifting pieces of advice filled me with gratitude and hope. Their shared experiences reminded me that as mothers, resilience, and optimism are key; there's always a solution to navigate through every challenge.

Currently, our son has undergone evaluation at TheraPlay Child Care Services-Danao City Branch. Following the assessment, Teacher Nina, his therapist, recommended Occupational Therapy based on the interview and evaluation results. He now has sessions with her once a week. Meanwhile, we are waiting for an appointment slot with Dr. Christine Cusi, a Developmental Pediatrician at Maayo Hospital Mandaue.
Going back, to enhance our son’s social skills, we’ve established a routine of taking him to a playhouse or park every weekend, aligning with my availability. Recently, we visited Metro Sands and explored their Happy Bubbly Playhouse on the second floor.
Despite its compact size, it’s charming and offers ample enjoyment for kids. Check out the admission fee in the attached picture.
Remember to bring your socks to save money. These Playhouse snapshots showcase numerous play options for our children's enjoyment. While we stayed close behind, supporting and observing, it's evident that our son as of that moment doesn't often socialize with other kids.
Last weekend's destination was Liloan’s Playhouse at Gaisano Grand mall, where the entry cost was notably higher than at Metro Sands Danao. However, the upside was the expansive area available for numerous children seeking playtime.
He particularly relished the slide and ball pit, making the visit truly enjoyable. Despite the fatigue (hehe), being with him at that moment was priceless. Amidst a crowd of children, he even took some time to socialize with them.
However, we remain optimistic that he will improve over time, consistently engaging in the process to foster his progress.
That’s all for my blog today. My sincerest thanks for taking the time to read and support my blog, until next time. See you!
