Yes we all know how failing many times can become our launchpad to success. The problem is when you're still down in the dumps and can't see the possibly amazing outcome. That's when it gets frustrating and where most people give up.
Sure I might get some flack from saying this but it's true. Even a really high percentage of failure will not guarantee overwhelming success. Learning from your mistakes/failures will not always produce the big results you dream of. Yes it can help you become a better person in the process but that doesn't always equal more $$$.

🤑 What Success Was For Me...
We all have our own definition of success. I can say I've had some too in different forms. However the top most I have been dreaming of and working so hard for seems impossible to achieve: Becoming a multimillionaire and staying that way.
In my more or less 5 years of working in real estate I still have not sold a lot. Did you know, when I became a real estate agent I thought anyone can sell 10 properties easily. I imagined it can happen within a few months or even a year! Well, fast forward to 2023 and it still hasn't happened to me. 😂
I look at my sales career and see it as not that successful at all. Why? Because I have not reached my goal, not even 10 properties sold in a single year! 🤣

No wonder in one of my first work trainings, some snickered when I told them about my dream/goal. (A mix of newbies and experienced agents are trained together when newly hired.) The naive and newbie me had no idea at all that selling 10 condo units in 3 months is almost impossible. Even I would just pat newbie me on the back now that I know better. 😅
🌟 When It's Not Written In The Stars...
The reality is, our fates are sealed. Sad to say, that's the truth whether we like it or not. Yes we have free will but it doesn't mean we will all be rich one day. If something is not written in the stars, one will never exceed what has been preordained. Or in a Christian mindset, if God thinks something else is better, you will not have it at all.
When it comes to hard work, I've already written about it before. Several people have already said I am a hardworking person. Some probably said it just to make me help them or maybe it's indeed true. I know I work real hard but look, the outcome is not as much as my effort. Hello burnout, we meet again.
Definitely, anything we achieve is subject to a lot of factors. Yes we can do all the things written in "The Secret", new age and self-help books/articles or even pray in all the churches, etc. Sometimes it works indeed. However there will always be moments when it looks like everything you strive to achieve is always blocked. No matter how hard you try it will always be difficult to do or achieve that thing.

It may be called divine providence or "for our protection" whenever such things happen. Might be sourgraping but we end up thinking there might be something better meant for us that the universe or God will give us instead. You've heard it all before: "When one door closes another one opens."
I've only come to accept the "fate/destiny thing" late last year. After working my butt off for many years, all my efforts only produced enough for me to survive. Yes I am thankful for that of course. 🙏 God is good.
👋 Goodbye Hard Work...
Unfortunately because of that I have decided not to take this career seriously anymore. Tried to change to another one for the 2nd time but it still hasn't happened yet. Lol. Only God knows what He wants to do with my life now. I'm already resigned to leave it up to Him. Whatever has been decided then fine I will just accept it.
No point in fighting "the universe" anymore. I'll just sit tight until I find out what I should be doing instead. I dunno. 😆
Of course I am still doing other things and have side gigs but my main goal is already kaput. I've given up on it. Sure, for plenty of my little goals I've had a lot of success in that. Big ones aren't that easy to achieve at all. If it was then many people would be multimillionaires by now.

It's not all hard work just to get wealthy. You have to be lucky, generous, happy and destined to be one to become one. Yes sure maybe it's not for me, maybe something else will get me my financial goal, or not. Meaning yes, failures are a form of redirection.
Yesterday I was forced to finally delete a lot of the sent emails in my Outlook account. Had to do it so I can send and receive emails again. (They changed the maximum memory for attachments so I am switching back to my Yahoo! email acct from now on.) It only made me realize how much waste it all were. All that wasted effort. Tsk tsk. And of course I remembered all the other things I've done in this career. Just wasted effort imho. I'm just tired of it all.
Yeah yeah, all the rich agents who already have multiple businesses might tell me this is loser talk but I don't care. 😂 We all don't have the same life situation. Also, what works for some does not work for all. You can't always say "if one can do it everyone else can too". It doesn't work that way all the time. We are all different, each one of us.
I even watched all the episodes of Million Dollar Listing: New York and I can only wish to be selling as much as them. I tell you, real estate is not an easy career path at all, even for them. And yet they make way, way more than me.
🌴 Let's Enjoy Life Because It's Short
So now do you see? Failures before successes are really just overrated. 😂 Yes it is true but for me all my failures have not produced what I was working for. Much better to just enjoy life instead of working yourself to death for nothing. This is why most people don't become mega-rich (aside from not doing illegal and bad things).
Yes folks. Life is short. If you're reading this and are still in your 20s and early 30s then make sure to work as hard as you can. However, be wise and do not work too hard for too long. Make time to relax and take vacations. Otherwise doing too much hard work without that much gain is the same as wasting all our time over something impossible to achieve. It is just a sad way to live, believe me.
We all have different life situations but take advantage of your skills and abilities. That's one way to earn money. Now getting rich and becoming a multimillionaire, ah that's a different story. It's not that easy at all.
