When I'm with my family on weekends, we usually enjoy them in a quiet way, unless there are issues to be solved at home. But we usually enjoy a good meal, watching films or series and chatting, which is impossible during the week because of the timetable.
In this summer season when we are together like this, there is an activity that we like to do a lot, which is to prepare something simple to eat, prepare mate, either hot or cold, and have a good time in a park near the house or in the middle of pure nature, like a forest.
We do this activity in the afternoon, unless it is very hot, then when night falls we go to a park not too far away and there we have a small picnic, drink that mate or have some refreshment.
We always walk around while we chat and then when we get there we enjoy the views and spend time outdoors.
The family chats are very good, we catch up on a lot of things, or talk about different topics.
In this park there are many areas and many of them contain children's playgrounds, so when we go there in the afternoon there are many children playing in groups and their parents are close by.
This park is open until 10 p.m. and until that time we can stay there. Then the guard comes by and tells us it is closing time.
It is then that we tidy up all the things we are carrying and go to another park about four streets away and continue to enjoy the family atmosphere and enjoy the night.
The night air is more pleasant to go for a walk and sit in a cool place especially at this time of the year and we go to places that are safe.
It is holiday time, not only for children but for many adults, so we see people walking their dogs or family with small children in the squares.
We enjoy not only our chats but also watching the children playing and laughing with them. But also, and above all, spending good times outdoors and in nature. Breathing fresh air and renewing energy is essential.
When I read the theme I said to myself, it's a beautiful theme and I love painting, although I know it takes several hours, I said to myself, I'll do something simple.
I went to a shop, bought the material I was missing and returned home having in mind a scene very close in time of my family and me in that place.
And in this way a simple but beautiful experience is captured for me, because family is one of the most important things in the world and sharing with them is great even if it's just a nice chat.
