"Until you have loved an animal, a part of your soul remains dormant."
-Anatole France
There is one animal I love besides cats, and that is the noble horse. I love them.
In my life I rode a horse twice, although the first one doesn't count, I don't remember it, I was very young, I must have been about 4 years old. They just put me on and that was it, I screamed like crazy.
Well, the crazy thing lasts to this day.
But a few years ago, I lost count, at a meeting on the outskirts of the city where I lived I had the opportunity to ride a horse, it was called Indio.
I rode as if I had been riding all my life, I felt free, alive and strongly attached to that equine. I was sure of what I was doing, although I had never experienced such a thing before.
The feeling was one of the best in my life, so if I could choose to do anything this weekend, I would ride a horse.
I would ride him from end to end of the beach, I would feel his feet crashing in the water and the sea foam splashing on me. I would listen to every step, every gallop. The texture of his mane in my hands and I know I would be one with that beautiful animal.
But I would love to ride the horse free without a saddle, full freedom.
The shamans say that we all have animals of power, that give us characteristics and one of those animals in me, is the horse. One of the predominant ones next to the panther.
I would walk with him, in the mountains of my city, wanting to touch the sun on some high hill, I would rest next to his sigh under the trees and I would be very happy caressing him.
We would look into each other's eyes like that time so many years ago, when it seemed that Indian understood me. An inexplicable connection. I love those animals.
Nobility, elegance, strength and freedom. Pure magic, firmness and extreme beauty.
That's how I see them, riding them is like sailing the earth, the wind and the skies without anything else existing. Pure happiness.
Some years ago I used to do a lot of meditation and in them there was always a black horse waiting for me to cross and gallop in that world beyond imagination.
This is what I would like to do this weekend, to walk on the beach, in the woods and in the mountains with a horse and nothing else exists.
This weekend and every weekend if possible.
I thought a lot about this topic that brought us this weekend and I just said to myself what would be the coolest thing I would like to do, and my inner self answered: Horses and nature. That's all there is to it.
Thank you so much Galen for these fabulous themes that you bring us every week, they motivate us to dream and imagine and that fascinates me.
Thank you very much to all of you for reading this far. I ask you: Do you like horses? Have you ever ridden a horse? What did you feel?
Best regards to all of you and have a nice weekend.
