Hello hivers, Today I decided to take a walk through my beautiful city, Santiago de Cuba, which is also the capital of the province of Santiago de Cuba, bathed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea, located in the southeast of Cuba and founded in 1515 by Diego Velazque.

Upon entering the city, we are welcomed by the Plaza de la Revolución Antonio Maceo Grajales, located at Las Americas and Central Highway, which is considered the most relevant monumental work of the city of the nineteenth century built in the city, with its 23 machetes that stand and represent the date of March 23, 1878.

To the right we can find the Heredia Cultural Complex, in honor of the Cuban poet and Santiaguero José Maria Heredia.

Walking along the Avenida de las Americas we can find the Hotel Santiago, in the heart of Santiago, where it stands with its elegance giving a distinctive touch to the city.

And arriving at Garzón Avenue we find the Plaza de Marte, which was used by the soldiers as a training square. Today it is a park where children, young and not so young, come to sit and talk and enjoy the gentle breeze.

And going down Aguilera street we go out to Céspedes Park, which is located in the center of the city, where visitors come from all over the city and even from abroad.

The park is surrounded by places of historical interest, such as the town hall, former home of Diego Velazque, currently a museum on the other side the International Bank of Credit and Commerce, on Heredia Street we find the Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, built in the early nineteenth century, where are the relics of one of the 12 apostles of Christ, Santiago de Mayas. And between San Pedro and Heredia, the Casa Granda Hotel.

Where we ended our walk for the day today with a delicious lunch and some nice quality time, as we are catching up from all the years we missed each other, so I am sure we will have a wonderful afternoon.
