The declaration was made - it's International Pyjamas Day - was the decree and it was met with cheering and much rejoicing by all and sundry far and wide.
An entire day dedicated to the most excellent skill of wearing pyjamas was, is and shall ever be a day on which to celebrate, rejoice and give thanks to pyjamas and cold, gray and rainy days on which wearing pyjamas all day and the chance to stay snuggled comfortably at home is considered the only thing to do.
I took this image
International Pyjamas Day was so conveniently declared on a Sunday and, quite coincidently, it was a cold, gray and rainy day so the timing couldn't have been more perfect.
If you're not picking up what I'm putting down above let me be clear, today was, I mean is, International Pyjamas Day which is a day dedicated to the lovely activity of wearing pyjamas all day and staying home with books and cats and tea and a handsome manly man and Netflix and snacks and more tea and snuggling on the couch with cats and that man I mentioned; in a nutshell, it's a day dedicated to a cosy and relaxing day at home and the poor weather helps make it perfectly lovely.
If you're wondering, International Pyjamas Day is my own invention and it's more of a thing that happens in my country...well, not the whole country, just my part of it. Ok, I'll tell the truth, International Pyjamas Day only happens in my house so it's not really international at all, but the rest is totally the truth, the Pyjamas Day part.
Well...clearly I didn't wear the all day because I took them off to take the photo and to enjoy a luxurious bubble bath, but they went right back on and won't be removed until a little later at bed time when they'll come and we'll...
