I hope you're having a great day and have time to share with your loved one and do the things you enjoy.
It comes as a stike of luck that the last day of the year comes on a Saturday. I have dedicated these days to my posts on the #WeekendExperiences community. Going towards setting goals for the new year was an idea I had in mind for a post, but luckily, the G-dog made it into an initiative.
I tend to refrain from doing things like this because it's easy to step away from the goal. Excuses are abundant. This year, however, things have taken a turn towards something positive thanks to the coming back into the ranks of the Latin Community. The workshop had some sales. I made lots of Hiver friends. As I close this chapter of my life, there are some things to get in order to keep up the momentun.
The how-to do it is always flexible, but this is the general idea of how I think my 2023 would be a better year in all regards: economic, professional, personal, etc. I'm going to help myself with the questions on the WE: 134 topics.
"What strategies have you come up with to ensure 2023 is a great year for you?"
One of my main problems is organisation. I tend to let everything move on my mood. Don't get me wrong. I have loads of discipline. But that alone without a plan is as good as a loose cannon. Besides, going like this doesn't help my anxiety at all. Sometimes, I'm just too anxious to do anything because there's a lot be done.
Sounds easy enough, but it will give me some work to try to get myself into this setting of planning this ahead of time. I'll start one day at a time. I figure that the whole planning a month of activities will come as easy as planning a whole week of posts.
To achieve this, the first order of the day is to get a planner with a calendar to keep track of the things I need to do on a dialy basis. Getting used to scratch things on a to-do list my be the kind of petting my brain needs to get things sorted. A personalized planner is in the making. It also has a part to schedule commissions for the workshop and have lists of goods needed to make instruments. So, I'll keep track of my finances better.
That leads me to the second point: being more responsible with my money. There's a lot of money that's been spent on snacks. I'm going to reduce that to a bear minimum. It will be tough. I love eating. Eating at home is healthier and saves money.
To summarize: save money and become more organsed. Those are my strategies to achieve goals in 2023.
"Do you have any set goals and, if so, what plans have you laid to bring them to fruition?"
Yes, I do. Big plans actually. The whole saving money thing is for the greater good.
Money is important. Making it and spending it wisely are top priorities next year. And this is something important for both content creation and the workshop. I plan to move to another city. It is going to be the top priority in terms of personal finance this year. Moving to a city with a bigger market will help me get more clients and have a wider variety of content to offer. It's a win-win. Besides, it will solve this issue I've had since I came back home, having my own space. If I don't get out of the ponds, I'll always be a big fish in a small body of water.
Fortunately, I'm not alone on this thought. Some Hivers are considering the option of becoming roommates to get some projects going. I'm not mentioning more about the plan because there are some things to discuss. However, I believe that working together towards this goal will help us all in the end.
My other plans are about personal improvement. Th G-dog might find this but amusing. Im taking singing lessons since I want to become a well-rounded musician. So, a video of me singing will come by. I hope it is next year. for that, I'm already taking classes but I'm also on a discovery journey of my voice as a soloist. It is thrilling. There's a lot of technique to follow and the exercises are tough. But I'm enjoying every bit of it.
Growing as a luthier is another plan. That's the reason why I'll be making the molds for other instruments soon. That's a way to keep me both entertained in my craft and learn some new things about luthierie.
Let's not forget the plan of keep myself moving. One of this year's greatest achievements was getting my sleep cycles in order. With this done, I came to the realisation that I'm better at physical activity during the mornings, so walks and yoga are on my list of physical health. And also, I'm keeping an eye on my mental health. My last vacations a few weeks ago were of upmost importance. I need some fresh air and things to do with friends. I'll keep that in mind as the new year begins.
I guess there's no more to say but,
I sincerely hope all of you find the willpower and tools to reach your goals. Also, that you enjoy this hours. Relax and prepare for 365 new opportunities to keep building your future. As our dear admin says, "life isn't promised". So take the changes to build the one you want to live.
That's all from me. Happy New Year!
