So what to do on a four 7 day Easter weekend?
I tell you what to do. The stuff I am doing.
Let's start with the most important thing.
Easter egg hunting!
Ok I have to admit I was just walking Joy and found some balloons for a kids paper chase.
But it felt like searching for easter eggs for me đ .
Found a yellow one...
...found a pink one with a message...
...found another pink one without a message...
...found a pink one with a message again...
...damn, another pink one...they went pretty cheap on the colors...
Joy rushed down next to it if you haven't noticed.
Why?
Hmmmm...I will put it this way...he laid an easter egg...mean chuckles here
What was I supposed to do?
At least the kiddos didn't needed to follow by sight...smell was doing it here...muhahahahahaaa...sorry...giggle
I stoped my search and walked home.
Opened the door and then this.
What?
An actual easter surprise for me?
Hidden on my stairs?
My sister donated her old Bird Beach House to me.
Since the new cat is in town the birds are not safe on her balcony.
I'll take it lol.
See, found a nice spot on my balcony for it.
Just not sure if it is too dangly there, but it looks nice.
Got a call that the Easter bunny was visiting and that I need to come downstairs to take a look.
This is the view from my balcony into parts of our garden, see the cool Lounge area we built last year?
By the way, you see parts of the neighbors garden as well, not that you get the impression we are rich and have this huge garden for ourselves.
Either way, I had to walk down cuz I couldn't find the hidden treasure from above.
After searching for what felt like an ETERNITY I finally spotted some glitzy color in a flower pot.
Lo and behold the Easter bunny was hiding an Easter egg underneath it.
A little nice treat and some nerve food for my MotoGP afternoon/evening.
What else did I do?
Ah right, installed some window blinds.
Had a map and two curtains hanging in front of them but wasn't happy.
So I thought why not do a little tinkering.
Amazon was delivering promptly.
See my cool equipment?
A ladder chair and some screwdrivers should definitely do...call me McGyver
I don't know why but writing this I have to think about a famous Ninja that took a swan dive lately...who was it again?Big hug on my behalf for making some fun...you know I like you :)
And this is the result, 6 screws and 30 min later.
Cool hu?
Now I have to fix the walls...damnit.
So the blinds were set up and it was about time to take my dog and my car for a JOYride noticed how I managed to sneak my dogs name in?
I took both of them around the Odenwald.
Beautiful serpentine roads and landscape there.
Perfect conditions for an Alfa Romeo GT as I quote Jeremy Clarkson "...you canât be a true petrolhead until youâve owned an Alfa Romeo"
Psssst...yes I was driving and taking pictures but nothing happened. Don't tell anyone. It is our dirty little secret. You can comment with 'dirty little secret' so I know you read my post...wink wink.
I drove to our favorite little spot.
A lake.
We love it there, it reminds me of Colorado and always has me dwell in memories.
Arriving first thing Joy did was falling into the lake.
Mommy was not looking for a second and only heard a splash.
He tried to get out...
...and gave up lol.
I had to lift him up, too bad that there is no evidence of that lol.
He got a hug afterwards and also I wanted to make a nice pic for José as we haven't seen each other in 4 month now.
Have you ever tried to take a selfie with a Bulldog?
Almost impossible I tell you. That's the best you get.
Next to the lake are some cute creeks that I like to hang out at.
We went there to have some fun in the water and be for ourselves.
Joy also made some friends that day, even though this little fella was more interested in me.
They just love me.
Now everybody,
following another series of Joy trying to get up somewhere and giving up.
The paw...pay attention to the paw...so cute lol.
There he is complaining that I didn't help him.
We went for a nice long walk in between, Colorado like surroundings, at least the closest you can get to it here.
I lived in Colorado Springs, for those living in the Planes it looks different lol.
Arriving at the creek after the walk again.
Refreshment always welcomed.
Having a Bulldog you have to pay attention that they have the chance to cool off when it is warm outside.
So it is the perfect spot there.
What else happened this weekend?
Ah right, a little get together at the Neckar river, cuz it was nice and warm.
On my sisters shirt it says "Today supervised drinking".
Kinda the theme of the meeting.
Under a bridge of course, classic.
But next to the river, that makes it better!
All bottles and cans contain alcohol...spoiler alert, in Germany you can drink wherever, for all Americans living in Virginia or else ;).
Joy taking a dip in the river and is now shaking off his little cute ears.
Ears in the wind I call it.
Uhhh now the highlight, MotoGP race day.
Here the link to the post I wrote about it CLICK HERE because all you get to see is
Joy being supercute with my Valentino Rossi beanie.
Look how cute he looks...
...and how pissed in this one...it cracks me up...I'm dying laughing...too funny...hilarious...sigh...muhahahaha...so cute...
Last but not least I took a nice evening walk with Joy.
You know with temperatures around 25°C / 77°F it is still nice in the later evening hours and damn look at that sunset.
Beautiful Sunday Sunset.
Monday, 2°C / 35°F and snow.
Remember the view from my balcony a little further up that post?
If NOT scroll up IMMEDIATELY!
24 hours and 20°C / 68°F less later.
The joy of April.
How was your #Easter? How many #balloons with a #message did I find? What #phrase should you #comment with? How did you like my #weekend? Do you live in #Virginia and are you #jealous about the #drinking? Did you like the #sunset? Are you annoyed by my #hashtags?
