It's worth noting that on this occasion I'm going to talk a little about the greatest fear I have for my personal and family future. Currently, the future in the country where we live, which is Venezuela, is truly worrying, not only for me but also for my children. Since I was a child, my parents always told me that I should study to have a secure future; that is, study and graduate so I can have a steady salary and retire after 25 years of service.
But it turns out that now all workers earn the same, regardless of their education. We've gone more than three years without a salary because the government doesn't want to pay a decent wage commensurate with your qualifications. One of the things I tell my children is not to study to be a teacher, because we're the lowest paid. One of the things I'd like my children to study is professions related to technology, design, programming, and freelancing, so they can work from home and also be their own bosses through some kind of entrepreneurship.
Likewise, I think we should also avoid stress and live in the present. Find ways to avoid anxiety about the future by exercising, such as running or walking, to release stress and enjoy nature through walks in different places, such as mountains, and hikes through natural spaces to appreciate nature. Another thing we need to do is to instill in our children strong values so they grow up to be good citizens and respect others.
Once my children finish high school, I want them to study a profession they enjoy, and if possible, one related to IT, which has different branches, such as design, programming, freelance, and blockchain technology, so that they also understand the advantages of Web 3.0 and become owners of their own accounts through Hive, which is the future of the internet.
I hope you liked it, see you in a next post.
