I had to think long and hard about the weekend that had so many special memories for me that I'd like to repeat it.
It was 2 years ago and it was a treat for my birthday. We booked a small boat to go for a little trip. The captain was amazing. He allowed us to play our own music - and of course, I chose to have Eden's music for the ride.
He also allowed us to bring our own snacks and a chocolate cake - and we took some champagne as well.
What was the best thing about this birthday. Well, for me it was that I had all my kids with me. Lee and Eden and Jack and his wife, Les. What more could any mother want. The following year Eden was away and planned for the boys to do a photoshoot of me to celebrate my 70th birthday. That was also a very special birthday but then Eden was missing so it couldn't be my most special time.
The boat left at 3pm in the afternoon and returned at 7pm - so we were able to watch the most beautiful sunset from the boat.
The boat stopped three times for us to swim in the sea and on one of those swims, my sons took a video of her which she later edited into a short video for me. She used her song called "Everyday's my Birthday" - a song she wrote for me some years before - because I love cake so much. - This is of course a wonderful reminder for me of such a special occasion.
My birthdays seem to get better and better and this year the celebrations went on for almost all of the month of August.
Eden and Lee were both away in South Africa for this past birthday but I guess we can't have it all - all of the time.
I'm trying to figure out how to embed the video into this post as it is not on YouTube - and my kids are still away. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate a comment telling me how to do it. I've tried looking on Google to no avail.
Going to get some pictures off the video in the meantime.
