Not weird at all! If they aren't from your area, then it's likely you won't get them easily.

There are so many varieties and they taste different depending on the kind! Many of them are juicy on the inside, slightly sour on the skin but the inside is a good, mild sweetness. Some of them are very, very sweet but I find those to be gross!
