Greetings dear community, I am here to tell you about an unplanned event that happened to me over the weekend, which by the way was very unpleasant especially for the day it happened, which was Saturday morning.
It turns out that on Friday I went to the doctor's office, with my internist, for a discomfort I have in my right arm, as expected he sent me some medications and I decide that I would go to buy them the next day, Saturday.
After breakfast on Saturday I decide to go for the medicines, very well I arrive to the parking lot I turn on my car without problems and I arrive to the pharmacy, I buy my medicines and when I leave I go to my car, I turn it on, but it turns off something that never happens with it, then I immediately think about the pump failure.
I try to start it again, all the lights turn on, but it does not turn on at all, I immediately think that it is the failure of the fuel pump, because fortunately the battery is new, it is only 3 months old, and the failure happened to me 3 times last year.
Then I call to the mechanic who does the maintenance of the gasoline pump of the car to explain him which is the failure that I am presenting to the car; the mechanic for what I tell him says that, if it can be, then I explain him the location where I am crashed so that he can arrive to the site.
A short time later he arrived with his tools and once he tested if the pump was sending and negative it was not sending anything, once he took it out he tested it again and if it was that; then he told me let's go to the workshop to perform the maintenance and on the way you buy the spare parts at once.
As you can see in the pictures the filters were completely clogged, it looked like a mixture of oil and all that black-petroleum sticky stuff is what makes the pump clogged and not working.
I tell you more, it happens that this problem was presented to me 3 times last year, and this year we are just starting the 3rd month and it is presented again, because it turns out that the penultimate time that I made the changes of all the filters and the pump was just at the beginning of December last year, exactly 3 months ago.
But what is happening, the gasoline they are selling in my country, Venezuela is of very poor quality, one does not even know what is the octane it has, because they are simply selling only one type of gasoline sold at international prices, but it is of very poor quality, and the consequences are suffered by us car owners, we have to be constantly changing the pump and the internal filters of the same.
The truth is that I feel a great discomfort because of this, since it happens what happened to me that one goes out to run an errand quietly and is left without a car because the gasoline is so bad that it is continually damaging the pump, then not only is the discomfort of being injured anywhere, but the costs that this represents both for spare parts and labor.
So, we arrived at the workshop and the mechanic was ready to clean very well the parts where the gas pump goes and to place the new ones that he had bought, he did all that work and when he finished, we went back to the place where my vehicle was.
When we arrived he cleaned the tank a little and began to install the pump, which he does with his tools very quickly, he told me to turn on the car and in one go it started without any problems.
Thank God I was not in a difficult place or far from the city, and I could call the mechanic, and he, of course was not attending any car in his workshop, and the problem could be solved in a few hours.
