If I had to choose how to spend my last weekend on planet earth, I would of course spend it with my family on our favorite Vršački breg, which has so many trails, paths, roads, footpaths and springs, that you can't visit them all in a year (even if you are a passionate mountaineer). In such a natural environment, which is under the first category of sub-independent state, there are beautiful forests, viewpoints, wild animals, many endangered species of birds, healthy mountain air, cold water from the remaining springs, and some wild fruits. We used this last sunny day to conquer one of the easier KT peaks called Turska Glava as a family. It got its name from a historical event in the 13th century when the Serbs watched the Turks who tried unsuccessfully in numerous attempts to conquer the town of Vrsac and its mountains, but they did not succeed. Probably because when you climb Turska Glava from the lookout point His breath stops. The gaze reaches a hundred kilometers away on the plain to the nearest Danube river, and this is exactly one of those scouting points.
Our little family expedition started with one more member, little Lucy who had the honor of enjoying a mountain hike. After she got out of the car, she quickly got used to the poppy hilly narrow path and obediently walked behind us.
Somewhere halfway, after a few uphill climbs, we met friends who were walking the dog, and we were too lazy to carry on cat Lussy in our arms, and then the children also wanted us to carry them because of the fatigue that suddenly hit them.
With the extra load on the uphill, we bravely trudged forward towards the top of the hill. We stopped to read the mark on the tree and thus realized that we were very close to the goal.
The road curved slightly to the left and began to branch towards a larger rock, next to which we stopped.
On a nearby tree there was an inscription Turka glava with an altitude of 402 m. The mission was successful. Our little expedition took a couple of photos as a memory of this weekend. Of course with Lucy.
After taking pictures, we went to the lookout point next to the rock. We will remember the powerful view of the plain, the windmill and our beautiful plain of Vojvodina that was in front of us forever.
The adrenaline rush, the desire to stay here and see if it was on the other side son who climbed the rock by himself and that focused all my attention to take this first solo photo of his in a never better place. Lucy of course spontaneously came next to him.
A little worried about the polecat who was chatting, we didn't stay too long in this magnificent place. The daughter was overcome by fatigue and almost fell asleep, and we had to go back the same way. Although this time downhill to the car about an hour down in at the foot of the hill.U on the way back, we were rewarded with a beautiful view of the sunset and our Vršačka tower, the historical museum on the hill, which the children immediately recognized and pointed at, and I followed it.
A golden day bathed at sunset. If I could choose again, I would spend my free time in this way, as a family man and a great lover of nature.
Men sana in corpore sano!
