(1) Could you cut out sugar permanently? Explain why or why not
Sugar is a sweet soluble substance, we all know it add sweetness to our tastes, food, drinks and so on.
We all need sugar to survive both small and big, but taking it excessively might cause harm to our health
Is good to trace your family history in other to know how to avoid sugar and to know the quantity to take
Why i said this is because i have come across people who take coca-cola or related drinks everyday and when i make enquiry from them they said is approval from their doctor because of their low sugar.
One of them told me that he faints almost everyday before he was advised by the doctor to take enough sugar everyday and since he started it he doesn't faint again
I was a kind of doubting it, until one day i was called upon, that my grandma was about dying and my nephew that was around at the moment rushed her to the hospital and when i got there and saw her with the sound of her breath so loud, and hangs on the way i was so afraid.
After the doctors examined her low and behold there was no sugar in her anymore, and right in front of me the nurse brought sugar and started putting in her mouth according to the doctor's prescription with other injections and drip they administered to her, immediately she gained strength and the bad breathing stopped
Since that day i know the important of sugar in our body, because before then i have stopped taking sugar completely
Before i got married, i consumed a lot of sugar i couldn't drink tea, cereal, infact every drinkable without enough sugar in it, not only that i chewed sugar cube during my teenage, i was in love and addicted with anything sweet, lolly Pop, milo sweet, sugar bread, a lot them
But the time i got married, i found out my husband is not a sugar type oh! This helped me cut out my sugar intake to a good level, in the morning when am preparing cereals, he will always come around to ask, how many cubes i was to put and i will manage and say four, let alone me i can even use six, and he will shout no! That's too much, i should reduce it to two because in their lineage they have diabetes so he watches his sugar intake
So that was how i started reducing my sugar intake gradually until i stopped using sugar comlpletely for my tea, cereals, i only use milk. But not that i completely cut out sugar because my body still needs sugar as long as i live. So there are other starchy foods i eat where i derived sugar from but not in excess anymore.
I was advised by the elderly people, to stop taking too much sugar especially now that am married and looking forward to start having children, that was how i gradually cut out my sugar intake to the extent that if i use sugar now for my tea i will begin have stomach upset
